The services under this program are designed to assist members in acquiring, retaining, and improving the self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in home and community-based settings. The services include the provision of training in independent living skills or special developmental skills, orientation and mobility training, sensorimotor development, and behavioral management.
Based on the individual’s needs, the services offered may include:
- Assistance with daily living activities
- Developing behavioral support and intervention programs
- Health and safety supervision
- Rehabilitative services such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy
- Mobility training, alternative, or adaptive communication training
- Transportation assistance
